Cookie Policy
Last updated 5 August 2026.
This page describes exactly what Thai Fisherman Pants, a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"), stores in your browser when you visit thaifishermanpants.net. It is short, because the site does not do much. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
The short version
This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores two small things in your browser, and it loads Google Analytics only if you press Accept on the banner. There is no advertising tracking here at all.
What the site stores in your browser
1. Your cookie choice
The first time you visit, a small banner appears at the bottom of the page with an Accept button and a Decline button. Whichever you press, your answer is saved in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every page.
That saved answer stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and it does not identify you. If you clear your browser data it disappears and the banner comes back.
2. Your basket
When you add something to your basket, the item, quantity and price are saved in your browser's local storage. That is what keeps your basket intact while you move around the site or close the tab and come back.
This is stored on your own device, not on our servers, and it is not sent anywhere until you actually go through checkout. Clearing your browser data empties the basket.
Google Analytics, only if you accept
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read, so we know what is worth writing more of.
The analytics script is not loaded when the page loads. It is only fetched from Google after you press Accept on the banner. If you press Decline, or if you ignore the banner entirely, the script is never requested and Google sets nothing.
If you do accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser. These are usually named _ga and _ga_ followed by a string of characters. They recognise your browser as a returning one and record which pages were viewed and roughly where in the world the visit came from. They do not tell us your name, your email or your payment details.
What we do not use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- No Meta, Facebook or Instagram pixel.
- No cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers.
If that ever changes, this page changes with it, and the banner will ask you again.
Payment pages
When you pay, you are taken to Stripe or PayPal to complete the payment on their pages. Those companies set their own cookies for security and fraud checks, under their own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control that, and we never see your full card details.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. That brings the banner back so you can switch your answer. Choosing Decline stops any further analytics from loading on the pages you visit after that.
You can also clear or block storage and cookies in your browser settings, usually under privacy or security. Blocking everything will empty your basket, and the consent banner will reappear on every visit.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the site stores, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
